About Our Experts in Geotechnical, Environmental and Materials Testing

Mr. Kennard is Partner and Chief Engineer of GEO Solutions.  He has over 30 years of experience in the fields of Geotechnical Engineering, Materials Testing and Environmental Consulting.  His experience consists of thousands of projects including heavy industry, retail, commercial, mixed use, education facilities, high rise buildings, infrastructure and multi-family residential developments.

Geographically, Mr. Kennard has worked across the Southeast United States and Southern California.  He has also served as owner’s consultant on projects in Mexico and South Dakota. Mr. Kennard is a member of ASCE, AIA, and CSI. He is licensed in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, and California.

Mr. Cook is a partner of GEO Solutions.  Since graduating from the University of Alabama in 1990 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology, he has been involved in construction materials testing and inspections for nearly 30 years.  Mr. Cook oversees the Construction Materials Testing services and Laboratory operations for GEO Solutions.  His experience includes thousands of projects ranging from residential to the largest industrial/manufacturing plants in North Alabama.

Mr. Cook has served as a longtime board member as well as holding the seat of Chairman for the Associated Builders and Contractors of North Alabama.

Ms. Lehman is a native of Huntsville and received her B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  She has over 15 years of experience in geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting, including residential, government and commercial projects.  Ms. Lehman’s experience also includes preparation of Construction Best Management Practices Plan (CBMPP) and Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plan (SPCC) for Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).  She is a licensed engineer in Alabama and Georgia, as well as an accredited asbestos and lead-based paint inspector. 

Ms. Lehman is also involved in the American Society of Civil Engineers on the local and national level.

Mr. Martin is a Senior Engineer in Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing for Geo Solutions. He is a graduate of The University of Alabama at Huntsville. Mr. Martin is responsible for the design, coordination, and performance of field explorations. His experience includes mixed use developments, retail, structural and deep foundation systems. He is a licensed engineer in the state of Alabama. 

Ms. Keeton received her Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from The University of North Alabama and her Masters of Science degree in Environmental Management from Samford University. She has experience in environmental consulting, including ADEM permitting and stormwater management. She is a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Controls through Envirocert International.

Mr. Barnes is the Senior Lab Manager for Geo Solutions. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University. He oversees operational and technical aspects of the geotechnical/materials laboratory while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Mr. Barnes ensures that the laboratory testing services are conducted in a safe manner and consistent with company quality protocols. He is certified in American Concrete Institute (ACI), American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET), American Portable Nuclear Gauge Association (APNGA) and National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT).

Mr. Grooters is the Senior Technician Manager for Geo Solutions. He coordinates and directs our capable Construction Materials Testing technicians to assist our clients with their project requirements. He communicates with clients, project managers, sub-contractors and others regarding each project and its requirements. Mr. Grooters is certified in American Concrete Institute and Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) Concrete Testing as well as ALDOT Asphalt Testing.

Mr. Brewer is a Senior Project Manager in Construction Services for Geo Solutions. Mr. Brewer retired from the Madison County Engineering Department after 27 years. He brings over 30 years’ experience in Construction Services and Project Management to Geo Solutions. He is a Certified Bridge Inspector with the Alabama Department of Transportation.  Mr. Brewer is a championship barbequer, winning a number of awards at Huntsville’s Whistle Stop Competition.
