Project ScopeSubsurface geotechnical exploration included a combination of soil test borings and exploratory test pits throughout the development. These services were performed at multiple locations in the building area and also in the parking lots and drives areas. A shallow conventional foundation system was recommended for the proposed structures. Our services also included pavement designs for roads and parking.
GEO Solutions performed an Environmental Site Assessment (Phase I ESA) before the purchase of the property to review potential environmental concerns prior to purchase. We also performed a Wetland Delineation during the design of the project to mark the boundaries of the wetland and, in coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineering, insured that the development would not impact the wetlands during construction. GEO Solutions also provided the NPDES permitting and monitoring required by ADEM.
Construction Materials Services performed included earthwork monitoring, field density testing, foundation inspections, compressive strength testing on concrete, mortar and grout testing, and structural steel inspections.
