Martin Road Improvements:

Geotechnical engineering services were provided on a 1.4 mile section of the Martin Road Improvements.  The geotechnical investigation included evaluating existing roadway conditions and the existing conditions along both sides of the road.  Our report also included providing recommendations to ALDOT for new roadway construction and foundation support for a multi-span bridge.  Geotechnical consulting was also provided for the portion of Martin Road inside the gate for bridge foundations and resolving unexpected, problematic soil conditions.

For the 2.5 mile section of Martin Road inside Redstone Arsenal, GEO Solutions provided nearly full time support during construction.  Construction materials testing services were provided for subgrade evaluation, poor soil remediation, soil compaction, concrete testing, asphalt testing and bridge foundation inspections.  We also provided foundation and other structural inspections for the new security check station (Gate 7).
